Does anyone have the silly store that comes in the Family Reading Night Pack? It wasn't in mine and I'd like to show it to our president. My email is mapetite03@hotmail. Thanks!

We just had our first family read night and book swap. It went pretty well. We had a local authior come and read her book to the kids and then sell her books and sign them. Along with that, as the kids enter, they brought a book and dropped it off at a table where we had volunteers organizing the into levels, then we had the kids come out in smaller groups to choose their book. We also, picked up a few extra books that were donated by parents, in case some forgot to bring the. All in all it went ok.. We also did serve cookies and punch.

We're lucky to have a PTO room, for however long we have it. And then I suspect in lieu of that we would purchase some sort of storage space for ourselves...But in general our books stay on our cart in the PTO room (right between the pools for the carnival and the popcorn machine [img]smile.gif[/img] ).

I'd love to do this but where do you guys store and organize all the books before the event?

I'd love to have more info on the Book Swap and the Family Reading night. I'm a brand new President and our school hasn't had much of a PTO in several years. I'm really wanting to make some things happen at our school. Thanks for all your help!

Is an hour or an hour and a half enough time to do it? Or something longer. We have to pay to use the school after hours.
