Books are always a great idea, as well as the coloring books & crayons. If you have a dollar store nearby, you could get all three at a dollar a piece (tax-free) and stay within your budget!

google 'pedometer' on the net. lots of companies sell them, some within your budget. gets kids thinking of taking more steps during the day. plus they all love gadgets.

We do books for our Santa gifts. we purchase them during the summer at our local scholatic book sale. This year we spent around $600.00 for alittle over 300 students.

You could get the children nylon drawstring sportpacks that are popular with the kids today. You could have them imprinted with the school mascot and name. They would cost you $2.72 per bag. The company is located at www.4imprint.com. Just a thought.
