I will have to agree that this is a great uptapped source!! We have had two sororities and one fraternity help us for years. Also, the future teachers' organization from the college helps out. It never hurts for them to see the other part of "teaching".
For those not familiar with the greek system, a quick way to get contact info. is to contact the University's student organization office. Sororities are governed by the Panhellenic council and fraternities by Inter-Fraternity Council (IFC). E-mail contact is usually the best as getting someone to answer the house phone and/or pass along the message is sometimes hit and miss. (Remember college students also don't function on the same time schedule as most others.)
One thing I forgot to add is depending on the size of the frat or sorority and the number of members that can help with your particular event, you may need to request help from more than one group. You may want to ask the group you asked first if they have another group that they would prefer to work with. Sometimes greek organizations can be very competitive (remember they're only a few years out of HS!) and prefer to work with others that they get along with.
The benefit of the greeks over HS students however is that most aren't familiar with your school and are there to get the job down and not catch up on old news. [img]smile.gif[/img]
