I am still trying to locate. The list I had was almost similar to a grocery list everything that you could think of was on there. It was so simple the teachers just marked off what they wanted and their wish was granted it. If I don't find it quickly I am going to re-do it from memory. Hang in there. I like the bulletin board idea. Sounds great. I think that if each teacher did write their own that would be great if it needs to be done quickly.

Ourschool did something a little different. We used our PTO bulletin board and made a teacher wish tree on about 1/3 of it. It's a bare branch tree. We used the die cut machine to make leaves that are kept in the office---teachers having a wish, write it on the leaf and staple to the tree. There's a message on there that asks anyone to pluck a teacher wish and fill it. At the bottom of the tree, we also have flowers with the names of each teacher/staff member who has joined PTO. All parents are encouraged to fill one of their own child's teacher wishes if they're able. We had decided that only teachers who supported PTO by becoming a member would get their wishes filled by PTO. If, by Christmas time, there are unfilled wishes, we pluck all of them and purchase the items requested.

I would do a letter to all the teachers. Ask them for their wish list in order of preference. Then ask them to give you an estimate cost. Ask them not to list all big ticket items, since you have # of teachers. Perhaps even each grade level can ask for 1 big item.

Have it come before the board and Principal, and teacher rep to see which are appropriate for you to purchase, and see what the true necessities of the school are.

Good luck,
