How do I set up a website for our organization?

I am a new Pres this year & will be creating a PTO site. Glad to hear that there is FREE help out there to do this as I would not have the first clue! Melissa, excellent job on your website. I marked it for future reference.

Cool, Thnaks.
We have a very diverse neighborhood school and this'll be a god start.

Even I dont know alot about the different cultures at our school and I've been one of the fortunate few to travel the world while I employed by the Army. :D

I used a fanastic org. named Young Audiences of MD.(YAMD) They have been great to work with. Check with your State Arts Council. They can probably point you in the right direction. My goal was to bring some diversity to a really great school. I love our school, but I do wish it were more diverse. The programs are not cheap, but they are well worth the cost. Some kids are not otherwise exposed to this type of program. Ours are done as assemblies. There is a Q&A session afterwords. Our principal is very pleased with our selection. In order to do it during the school day, you have to have administration that believes that their is value in these programs. I am lucky that our administration is on board. Some would not be. I wanted to do them during the day so that EVERY child could see these amazing performances. Sometimes evening programs are impossible to make for the kids, depending on there circumstances at home.

Good Luck.

Please share your info. I've had several parents suggest an evening of multicultural food, music, storytelling, etc. Have no idea how to pull that one off, but would like to try.
