Does anyone use ecyclegroup.com? The prices look pretty good, just want to make sure they are legit.

Does anyone take non-brand cartridges?

Thanks!

We had trouble when we first began recycling our cartidges. We attemptd through Staples but never were paid. GGRRR
Now we are using Kash for Kids/CKA Assoc. They pay for shipping, provide a list of what is and is not acceptable for return, and turn around time for payment is ususally about 2 weeks. I think they're great!
Their web site is: www.ckarecycleaid.com

We have used Empties 4 cash www.Empties4cash.com for the last 4 years for our inkjets and we are very pleased with them. A few months ago I checked out all the programs to make comparisons and I still think they are the best. They are very upfront, you can look on their website and see exactly what they will pay you for each cartridge. Here is why I think they are the best:

1) They Pay cash and they send you a check within 5 business days of getting your shipment. They pay up to $4 a cartridge. I have yet to see another company pay more then they do. I believe the have the best pay out.

2) There is no minimum or maximum amount you need to send in. They use to have a minimum of 50 cartridges, but last year they changed it to no minimum.

3) They give you free shipping boxes with labels on them. I know not getting a box is not the end of the world, but it saves me the time and hassle of finding one. Just call Fed Ex and they will come pick it up for you.

4) You need not rummage through them to remove any cartridges that are not accepted. Just dump them all in and they will remove any damaged or unaccepted cartridges.

The only thing wish this company did different is that it would be great if they got into the business of also doing cell phones and laser cartridges.

We have found that cartridge recycling is one of our easiest fundraisers going. All it takes is a little time to collect & separate the inkjet & laser cartridges and ship to who pays the most. In the past three years we've averaged $1,500/year in our "cash for trash" program.

We use Funding Factory, Netrecycle.com, Cartridge for kids, Empties4Cash, and Kash for Kids - so will send you labeled boxes - all send you prepaid UPS or Fed Ex labels for you rown boxes. All have their pros & cons.

Problems you face are finding space to store the cartridges and boxes big enough to ship them in.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Melissa I agree about companies that do not tell all. This will be our first year at our school for this and we have decided to collect till April (store when box gets full) then decide which is my better company for all the phones and ink. I have looked at many and I will go with a CASH program but not sure which one will have better pay for what we get until I collect them

For those of you who have done recycling before...

Our school has done the recycling for the past couple of years. However, it has not been heavily advertised and therefore we have not had many turned in. The PTO is going to take over this year, and I have checked out the companies listed above. Is it better to go with the cash option or the points option? It seems to me that it is kinda like Box Tops and Campbell's labels. The return for the points doesn't seem to be worth the effort, IMO. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Also, does anybody know what Recycle Rewards pays? I am a bit leery of using a company that doesn't spell out their program for all to see.
