We have a family fun and fitness night at our school. We hold it the gym and do things like a timed obstacle course, rope jumping contest,etc.. You can make this as involved as you want. The kids love competeing against their friends and parents.

Our PTO's Family Night is a hotdog dinner with 12 games of Bingo and is held the 1st Friday in Feb. We have area businesses donate prizes, and our fall fundraiser company is a big help in donating items. The 5th graders have a bake sale and raffle of some sort. Last year it was a bike! We usually serve 275-300 parents & children. It is a great time and PTO makes little or no profit. It is always a success!

WE have been doing a family night for a few years. We have a local radio station send a DJ and we pick a theme, people can dress to the theme. The DJ plays music and runs contests etc. We supply snacks and door prizes.

This has been a free event to attend and cost the PTO less than $800 to put on.

Our school held a Disco night as a family fun night. We had a D.J., and best dressed contest. We had a special performance from the "Village People" parents and teachers dressed up like the band. Our Principal was John Travolta. We provided refreshments free of charge. We had a huge turn out and parents and students had a great time . We are a K-5 school. In the library we also had a silent auction that night.

We started a Family Fun Night this year, at our local roller rink. We invited all students, staff, and families. Our first one was in Sept. and it went really well. We will be doing them every-other month. The input i got from parents was wonderful they all had a great time, even those who didn't get out there and skate.

I AM VERY INTERESTED TO HEAR ABOUT ALL THE ACTIVITIES YOUR DOING MONTHLY. I have just started a PTO at a one campus school and I am completely lost. At this point, any advice is good advice!
