carnival prizes how many???

Pattiaf, I like that idea. I wonder how much buttons and bumper stickers would be as well. Necklaces with the school's mascot on them would be cool.

I put this number on another thread, but you might want to use it: Oriental Trading Company Special Event Planner - 1-800-526-7400.
They said that they will "hold your hand" so if you call and say what your budget is, I bet they can help you figure out a prize system. I called and they were very nice.

For our non-winners we had pencils with our school name and logo - it was a huge hit and got our name out ALOT for $.11 each

50 cents a prize is actually quite good.

At Oriental Trading Company (I know that site the best so I went there), I found these items:
BEST FRIENDS BEAD NECKLACES (Dozen-PAIR)Item Number: IN-24/1371 $3.95 per Dozen (32 cents per pair)
SATIN/VELOUR BEAN BAG FROGS Item Number: IN-6/960 $6.95 per Dozen (58 sents each)
MINI VINYL FROGS (6DZ) Item Number: IN-39/1088 $6.95 per Unit (10 cents each)
DINOSAUR TATTOOS (6DZ) Item Number: IN-39/569$3.95 per Unit (6 cents each)
FOAM SMILE FACE RINGS Item Number: IN-24/1164 $3.95 per Gross (3 cents each)
SMALL TOY ASSORTMENT (100PC)Item Number: IN-5/900 $4.95 per Unit (5 cents each)

There are also rolls of stickers for 2.49 per 100 (2.5 cents each)

I love this subject. I could go on and on.

Most of our games have a 1st, 2nd & 3rd place so we purchase 5 dozen 1st place prizes (55 cents - $1.25 range), 7 dozen 2nd place prizes (30 cents - 55 cents range) and 12 dozen 3rd place prizes (10 cents - 30 cents range) for each game. This works well and we seem to usually run low on 2nd place prizes for a few games. We then just move up some of the 3rd place prizes to finish out the night. We never seem to have much left over, maybe 2-3 dozen or so 3rd place prizes.

I think we are going to only do consolation and winner prizes. I don't think we want to go above 50cents per prize. Do you do more consolation or more winner prizes? The websites mentioned were great help, but they do 4 different prizes per booth and that's too much for us.
