In January we implemented our first scrapbooking nights. A Creative Memories consultant hosts the event. We crop on Fridays (1 day/month) from 6PM-12AM. Cost for the evening is $10 which the consultant donates directly to the school. Light refreshments are served and any sales she has for the evening are hers to keep. We advertise in newspapers, TV, school, church. We average approx 20 people per crop. It's only been 6 months but every month we have new people showing up!
Thank you Debbie!!! This sounds great and what a great way to bring together new moms (once again we will have 200-300 more new students coming to our K-12 charter school) and for old friends to have fun!
I love the idea of asking Moms with a home business to participate (we even have a couple that do party planning that would be a great prize!).

-how many demonstrators did you invite/ask to help?
-Did the "demo gals" have supplies for sale if needed?
-How much room did you need?

i am also curious about this type of event. how big was the school and how many people participated on any given day? one of our moms just openned a scapper store and i know i could get her to help us out. please let me know how much you budgeted and space needed. greatly appreciate the help.

I love the idea being a scrapper myself but when I talk to people at my son's school most look at me like I have 2 heads. But I thinks it would be lots of fun! Good Luck!!!
