We used Mixed Bag Designs and the response was overwhelming. This is not your typical reusable bag. They are really sturdy and gorgeous....go to the website and see all the designs and sizes. mixedbagdesigns. com Profit margin is great. We conducted the fundraiser in the fall and again in the spring because they change designs for the seasons.

I found a company that actually distributes a true environmentally friendly bag. THINCbean. A web search will find them. 50% profit and no upfront cost with no minimum order...really cool product.

Those prices seem a bit high. We've used www.spirit-wear.com and our pricing for the recyclable grocery bags with our school logo imprinted on the bag was $2 per bag. I just went to the website to check and it's right on the home page.

Selling reusable bags is definitely another way to help raise money and reduce plastic bags in the environment. We worked with a company called TerraLauren and did not have to buy any bags up front. They even gave us samples and extras as prizes for events. We could return the sets that we didn't sell. We didn't have to return any. We sold out within 2 months!!! We sold these bags at our meetings and at events that we held. We made about $900 with the small batch that we requested. The set included a cooler bag and a regular grocery bag and was reasonably priced that people won't feel that they are overpaying. Actually we sold it for less than what was listed on their website. We are now getting more sets and hope to reach our next fundraising goal.

We made $550 with our Mixed Bag Design fundraiser, which we were thrilled with. We have about 200 families in our school. Last year they had 3 size bags: drug store, grocery, and dept store. They cost us $3, $4, and $5 respectively then we charged $6, $8, and $10. We also offered some discounts for multiple bag purchases.

We got a few samples and had them on display in our lobby during our spring concert and art show.

I think the prices have gone up but the designs are as cute as ever, and I think they offer more than 3 styles now. Good luck!

By the way, quality is good too. Its been a year and I still use mine!

We had a mom mention Mixedbags last night and are looking for a May fundraiser. How successful was your fundraiser?
