We haven't done a volunteer of the month yet. One thing I do however, is a handwritten note to everyone that chairs an event or does something special. It touched one mom so much that she wrote me a 4 page handwritten letter telling me how much my contributions meant to the school and to her children. That was pretty neat....will have to consider the volunteer bit. The hard part is choosing which ones to pick. We do a piece called "Let me introduce you to" in the Bobcat Prints that showcases a lesser known personality in the school ... that is fun and gets a lot of positive reviews from parents. You can see it on our newsletter at brentpto.com. We have a snow day today so I hope to get my December column written. Phew...

Ha ha--yes, the dining room table.... I was originally shooting for getting it cleared off for Thanksgiving. But the night before, my husband just looked at me and said, you know, we really could just fit everyone in the kitchen. Rather than staying up half the night to clean off the dining room table, why don't we just stick to the kitchen?!?

So now I'm shooting for New Year's!

Hello, my name is Tina (Hi Tina)

I have a beautiful oak dining room table and we got to enjoy it for Thanksgiving but two days (hubby called it a miracle it took THAT long) it's covered....again.

I have over 1500 posts to my credit and with my oldest 14 11/12th (yes, she is counting) and my youngest of five 3 years old, I feel I will be doing what I love to do forever and ever!

This site started in 1998 or so!

By the way, is it really sad that I have more posts on here than Tim? I have only been on here since around 2001 and he started PTO Today when? Sigh, I am definately a PTO addict.

DLF, we do that for our parents. I have a volunteer of the month thing going and I have a volunteer spotlight on our website. Do you do something similiar too? I am always open to suggestions. Parent Involvement has always been one of my main goals but this school is more of a challenge as more parents are going into the work force or have more functions to attend with this age group.

Deb, can you email me or make another thread for your craft make and take? I would like to do something like this at our Winter Fest for 5/6 grade students.
