Holiday gifts from the principal

19 years 6 months ago #72255 by mykidsmom
Our school now has three principals and a executive director/school founder. I've know the director since the school was started and while we don't exchange gifts per say, the nicest gift I can think of is the time we spent just talking after the last family recieved their food and gifts from our holiday drive.

I got to have 45 minutes, no appt.,no secretary, no one taking notes, just us. Her rarley seen and outspoken husband was there too and we had a great time! He really has a rap for being a SObeeee, but is really just one to look at the numbers and things from a business "cents"

ANYWAY....time with a friend is better than any school monogramed item I could ever get!

I haven't been president in awhile, but it's never been customary for our principal to give gifts to the PTO leaders.

Note - our principal is incredible, very supportive, and shows her appreciation of our efforts constantly. And the school hosts a volunteer luncheon each Spring to thank anyone who has volunteered at school in any capacity - including PTO.

We received a snowman tin with candy inside. We also buy a SMALL gift for the principal, secretary, and office assistant.

ScottMom...We also got a gift from the principals secretary too. lol

They really are such an awesome group of people to work with. Being part of the community here on these message boards has made me very aware of how fortunate we are in our school. I never could have imagined the situations some have with their principals & Staff. A principals attitude can really make or break a school.
