Was just reading that the Adam Marks is closing.
I have a PTG meeting next week and need to know where the Philly conference will be so I can report on it. I am hoping that myself along with about three others will be coming to the show.

Oh by the way next year look into the Turning Stone hotel in verona ny - they have just expanded and I think they will beable to accomodate what your needs are for the conference. I can get info for you if you would like. I only live 1/2 hour away.

Yup, the Adam's Mark in Philadelphi is being razed (literally knocked down). Unbelievable. They gave no indication of this as a possibility whatsoever. We received a FedEx not 20 minutes after I read the news here on the forum. Fun. Fun.
The good news: I believe we'll have an alternate solution in place as early as tomorrow (Thursday) or Friday. Looks like same week, same pricing and within 15 miles of the Adam's Mark. More details to come.

Btw Kim, how was the PTA convention? I don't go anymore because there's nothing new. It seems it's always the same, year after year....BORING!
Plus I run into people from county that I don't like seeing when I'm at the county dinners never mind when I want to gamble! They give you the evil eye, like they're telling me that I should be at a meeting not at the tables. And if that's so, then why are they at the next table? They're just jealous because I win at the tables and they don't.
I live in Southern Jersey and it was on the local news (WB affiliate). I had just gotten home today from the first day of the NJ PTA convention, and was reading this site. I noticed the conference information, and thought it would be a good thing to attend. So when I heard them say something about the Adam's Mark on the news, I watched it. Weird coincedence that I had just read about the conference not 10 minutes before it came on the news.
I hope it can be moved to a new location as I would really like to attend.
