Anyone else out there have an addition to our list by now. I can not tell you how many I've emailed out, and I know that there have been great gifts given by you and your PTA / PTO groups in years past.

Surely you would love to share a great idea and cute little note that put smiled on the faces of those teachers. You can email you idea to me to add to the list, or add them here. Especially with the holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc) around the corner - lets share more inexpensive gife ideas!

Diane

Additions to the file: "Top 100+ Great Inexpensive Teacher Gift Ideas"

Here are a couple of the ideas I received recently and you might want to add these to your copy of the file many of you have received over the past 6 months. (copy and past these ideas into your file using your word processor)

....begining with item number 107....

107. 100 Grand (candy bar) - "You're worth a million, but all we had was a 100 Grand"

108. Crunch (candy bar) - "During this time of "Crunch" you are greatly appreciated". (this is a great one to use during testing (SAT, TAAS, etc.) times.

109. Spring Blooms: "For the Blooms in our garden of Knowledge" ---- Purchase flats of flowers in the spring. Cut the flats into individual flowers, place the plastic part in a baggie so it doesn't leak and then wrap it with tissue paper, florist style, tie it with a ribbon. It looks beautiful in their mailboxes and is about 30-50 cents apiece.

Any other additions? Email them to me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I'll add them to the document that I still get requests for, on a daily basis :).

Sorry Cindy, I didn't mean to overlook your request - to look in your email for your copies too.

Don't forget - anyone with a great idea that we can add to our 100 Plus Teacher Gift ideas - email me or post here and we can keep expanding the idea sharingl

Also remember - those gift ideas are great for Teachers, Volunteer, Office Staff or whoever just needs a nice note and a bit of appreciation (a sweet piece of chocolate taped to a nice note).

Our superintendent spoke the other evening, on how he still has a file folder of the notes of appreciation that he received years ago. Every once in a while, on a difficult day, he would open his desk drawer and pull out that file folder and read each one of those "Notes of Apppreciation" - then fondly remember a student or two that made a smile form on his face.

Keep that in mind - a note to a teacher, a little candy piece taped to it, and oh my - you'll continue to be a person who also made a difference - and put a smile on a teachers face. Gifts do not have to be expensive, they just speak your appreciation.
