Welcome Back gifts

Now that the teachers and volunteers are back at the school - I'm sure you all have done a few great WELCOME BACK gifts.

Share with us here, what idea you did (thanks for sharing your idea Momski). We have lots of creative people on this forum, and what better way to get more ideas for future gifts to teachers and volunteers, as we Welcome them back to school.

How about the Welcome Back Lunches? Did any of you do a Welcome back Lunch for the teachers - inexpensive of course - and are willing to share here what your theme was and a brief idea of the event or gift that you gave for the event?

One year we did the TEACHERS RULE gift as a Welcome back gift - using the paint sticks from Home Depot - and a black sharpie - turned them in to rulers - then got small school houses and apples from MJDesigns - hot glued them to the handle portion of the paint stick. Then with a fine red paint brush, red acrylic paint - we painted their name across the ruler that we made. Next we made a cute note )that we did off the computer on cardstock ) and tied it in a dangling fashion to the ruler, about how wonderful our teachers were etc. etc.

Any other ideas?

We gave out Big shiny red apples to each teacher. Although it sounds corny the teachers appreciated a healthy snack.

This note might belong here better than where ever I alrady added it - so here it is again.
Hi ya'll,
While searching on my hard drive for some prior teacher appreciation ideas - I rediscovered another document that I had received long ago. I'm not sure where it originalted, but if you want a copy of it let me know.

It's called "Top 100+ TEACHER GIFT IDEAS"

and has some great ones - some you've proabably seen before and maybe a few others you wanted to get sometime.

Over the years I've collected many poems that my PTA friends have shared with me, others I've searched for and found on the internet - and put them on a webpage at our Council site.

Please feel free to look over them and maybe you'll find one that you want to use for a great teacher item.

Hi,
If you will look under the Parent/family involvement topic and scroll down to "need teacher gifts for Under $5" there are several ideas. I am using the one with the paint paddle. This will pretty much cost us nothing. We had the paddles donated, I have paint left from a Big Bee that I cut out, painted and wood-burned to hang on our playground bell last year. I will be using a marker for the teachers names, and the rest I will do with the leftover paint. Instead of the button tops that they used I will be painting a cluster of balloons. We're the bumblebees and our theme is roughly......BPS families come Soar into the future with us. The balloons will be taking the bee off to never never land lol........
I do appreciate all these talented and knowledgeable parents that post here so many great ideas and tons of help.
